Assess screen and frame condition
Brittle mesh, loose spline, corroded fasteners, and damaged frame members may not tolerate cleaning. Tell the contractor about known weak spots. Washing does not replace torn screens or repair structural issues.
Protect the surrounding space
Outdoor outlets, furniture, plants, and pool systems all affect preparation. Ask how runoff and nearby finishes will be handled. Pool-water testing and balancing are not automatically included in an enclosure cleaning service.
Clarify the floor and roof areas
The screen roof, vertical panels, framing, and pool deck are separate parts of a scope. A deck may be concrete, pavers, tile, or a coated finish; each requires its own cleaning decision. Do not assume an enclosure quote includes every surrounding surface.
Preparing for an estimate
Provide approximate dimensions, height, access details, and photos of problem areas. JFH Softwash lists screen and enclosure cleaning among its services. For a Deltona pool cage or lanai, ask which surfaces are included and what existing damage needs attention first.
Follow material manufacturer instructions and seek an assessment for your home’s actual condition. Cleaning is not a substitute for repairs.
